Let the liberal hand-wringing begin.

Lawbreaking lawmakers, domestic enemies of the Constitution, oath breakers, must be stopped! America's survival depends on it. They have taxed, spent, coerced, confiscated, oppressed, abused and burdened the American people for far too long.

Why are people demonstrating at political gatherings while bearing firearms? They are rightfully, appropriately and Constitutionally demonstrating to the lawbreaking lawmakers that elected powers are in fact limited, strictly constrained by the Constitution, and ultimately held in check only by the 2nd Amendment. We The People still possess the legal and Constitutional authority, ability and capability to restrain, remove and replace them, and are willing to do so, by force if necessary. Will it be?

Constitutional rights need to be exercised. It's the old “If you don't use it, you lose it” principle. In the original spirit and intent of the 2nd Amendment we need to remind the lawbreaking lawmakers that our bite, if continued to be provoked, may indeed exceed our bark.

Many of us have sworn to protect the Constitution against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic. We will, within our specifically enumerated Constitutional rights. Under no circumstances are we going to passively or cowardly surrender our Country of liberty, freedom and opportunity, or Constitution to the lawless, elitist usurpers... without a fight. It's time to choose sides.

For the sake of our children, our grandchildren and their childrens' children, let the cry once again be heard throughout our Land: “Don't Tread On Me!” Take action! (before it's too late.)

KFSM-TV Channel 5's Daren Bobb runs from questions

I was just having an exchange on Facebook with Daren Bobb, News Anchor for Fort Smith KFSM-TV Channel 5 News. I have known Daren Bobb for several years and asked him why Channel 5 News did not give him more time to cover important news that affects local people... and instead devotes more time to frivolity (sports).

I pointed out that we do not hear stories about the confirmed Socialists in our government or how the national debt will affect our children and grandchildren or how the Constitution is being subverted... but we hear every frivolous thing out there about the Arkansas HOGS.

Instead of having a serious discussion, Daren Bobb deleted the conversation and canceled me as a friend.

Americans need to know that the conspiracy to keep them ignorant is not just at the national level. Local news outlets and local news personalities are also very much involved.

Kagan Defends the Right to Own Slaves...?

Nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, Kagan, says she supports the concept of case law "precedent" and that precedent is to be looked at as being "settled law". Her response was to a question about the most recent 5 to 4 Supreme Court ruling that affirmed the Second Amendment as an individual right.

The Dred Scott Decision was a 7 to 2 Supreme Court decision affirming slavery.

She would not challenge Dred Scott...? She will not challenge the Second Amendment...?

Me thinks she is being... judicially disingenuous.

Think about that... For failure to produce mere pieces of paper he says he has, the Commander In Chief will allow a decorated American hero (Lakin) to be court martial-ed... where Lakin could be imprisoned and/or lose his retirement, after decades of honorable service .

Federal government is spending America into bankruptcy and levying oppressive taxes. Federal judges say its OK to kill unborn babies. Federal judges say that society must embrace sexual immorality as being normal (gay agenda)... and now we have a judge (in WI) saying that a national day of prayer is unconstitutional.

Just learned today that Gunner DeLay will not answer any questions dealing with the deleted section of his Campaign Website where he advocated a robust Federal Government involvement in "higher education".

You know... the section that he told me he would welcome a debate on and hoped he would be challenged by another candidate on. The one he said about debate: "Bring it on!" (The same section he discarded our friendship on...)

I find his behavior... interesting. Not suitable or appropriate for a Congressman... but interesting.

Others should also find his behavior interesting... because it shows DeLay's willingness to obfuscate and deceive.

The American Republic, the United States of America is at its most critical juncture – EVER! A battle is raging with tremendous injury (possibly fatal) being done to our Constitutional Republic… and the VAST majority of our politicians can’t seem to grasp that bit of reality.

Senator Coburn from Oklahoma… thinks House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “is a nice lady” and made a further generalization (as reported) that most in Washington DC are “nice” people… then he disparaged FOX News. Senator… Are the people at FOX News not “nice”?

What Senator Coburn fails to understand is that personalities and politeness need to be disregarded in favor of principle and the performance of his oath of office to protect of the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC.

That “nice” Pelosi that Senator Coburn “likes”, is a primary domestic enemy of the Constitution. All the smiles, pats on the back, handshakes and tolerance need to stop and the enemies of the Constitution need to be exposed and actively opposed. Senator… Aiding and abetting the enemy… is disgraceful.

Which 3rd District Congressional Candidate will take this battle for the survival of the United States seriously... and drop the polite niceties. This is a life and death struggle that will dramatically affect the quality of life enjoyed by our children, grandchildren and their childrens children.

I know each of you recently an e-mail from my one time friend Dale Morfey. I first met Dale when I was a young lawyer and he asked me to sue Joycelyn Elders for violating the Political Practices law. I took the case all the way to the Arkansas Supreme Court without charging him a dime. [ As the President of the Westark Christian Action Council, I approached Jerry Cox of Little Rock with the idea to oppose Bill Clinton's appointment of Joycelyn Elders and was ultimately asked by Jerry to do so. As is the case with most Pro-Life Christian ministries, we both had a lot of moral support, but little financial support. I turned to local lawyers that I knew and asked if they would represent the WCAC, pro bono, in seeking prosecution of Elders under the Arkansas Political Practices Act... they all refused. A friend I was working with found out what I was trying to do and suggested I contact his friend, Gunner DeLay, a young, new attorney. I did and Gunner agreed to do the work pro bono with WCAC paying only for expenses - which we did. This was a reputation building event for Gunner. The experience and free publicity was extensive. Maybe Gunner needs to be reminded that as a volunteer leader, I was not being paid either. ]

I also handled another suit for him, free of charge, to obtain abortion information from a local hospital. (experience has taught me to charge even good Christian brothers) [ This, again, was done while I was in the capacity of Chairman of the WCAC and was an agreed upon pro bono representation by Gunner, with the WCAC paying for all expenses. And, again, Gunner's reputation was expanded through continued exposure in the press. Hardly a valueless undertaking by a young attorney. No doubt - this brought Gunner to the attention of many conservatives in our area. ]

I later did some personal legal work for him at well below the market rate. [ On personal work I have always paid what I have been billed. Gunner set the prices. IF I was given reduced rates... could it have been out of a sense of gratitude for my many volunteer hours of work in his multiple campaigns... or his gratitude of my financial contributions to his campaigns? ]

When I left the prosecutor's office I came back to work at my old law firm and Dale's daughter was working for us. Unfortunately, we had to lay her off and Dale became very upset with us because of this. I explained that the decision was out of my hands but he was still upset. [ I find this reference and inference particularly distasteful and I only am saying anything about this because Gunner chose to bring it up. - I was actually quite happy over our daughter leaving - because of the working conditions. What I found disappointing, but had set aside because of our friendship, was that Gunner was unwilling to truthfully address an abusive and hostile work environment. Such things happening within his own legal practice is not something that should be tolerated by someone who claims to have the character necessary to represent others in Congress. ]

The other day when we had an open house for the campaign, Dale came by, not to pat me on the back or say that he would be praying for me and my family but to attack me in front of my guests and try to cause me embarassment. [ Except for the fact of my being there, Gunner's statement is an outright lie. I asked to speak with Gunner in private but he assured me that those present (campaign staff) could listen. I even stopped talking when another approached, but was told by Gunner that it was OK. I spoke in very quiet terms, so as to not be overheard, and it was Gunner who ultimately turned our meeting into a spectacle. I find Gunner's remarks... to be indicative of a defense lawyer with a guilty client, doing his best to slice and dice the truth in order to muddy the waters, deflect and redirect... all in order for the client to avoid being held rightfully accountable for the clients wrongdoing.

Pursuing Status Over Service, Has Ruined Many A Person

I have supported Gunner DeLay in several of his campaigns, with both finances and as a volunteer. For over a decade now I have counted him as a personal friend. I guess I was wrong.

Gunner has always claimed to be a constitutionalist and a strict constructionist so I thought an obvious error on his website was just that, an error. Again, I guess I was wrong.

While visiting with Gunner at his Fort Smith Campaign Headquarters’ open house, I was trying, as a friend and supporter, to discreetly point out a glaring Constitutional contradiction on his campaign website.

Gunner was saying in his ISSUES section under Job Creation:

“We must continue to fully fund higher education. If are children are to compete in a global environment, they must have access to a world class education. If we cut FEDERAL FUNDING for higher education, tuition will increase and some students will be forced to drop out.” (typo preserved - bold/caps are my emphasis)

At the same time he was saying in Return to Constitutional Principles:

“We need a congressman that has a fundamental understanding of the U.S. Constitution. I do not believe that the Constitution is not a document that should evolve with the times in which we live, but should be strictly construed based on the intent of the framers.

I believe in the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights. That Amendment provides that all powers not specifically delegated to the federal government are reserved to the states. Yet, politicians in Washington continue to “nationalize’ more and more areas that have traditionally been state’s rights issues. This is especially true in the area of education. Decisions about education policy are best made at the state and local level. Abandoning this principle has led to national education programs that have been abysmal failures.” (bold/caps are my emphasis, double negative preserved – possibly there by intent???)

I said to him that if he wanted the support of constitutionalists, independents and conservatives that he needed to recognize that education is not found in the U.S. Constitution and therefore needs to be under State and Local control, not Federal as recognized in his Return to Constitutional Principles section. I pointed out that his position paper would likely, and rightly, cause alarms to sound with those groups.

In offering a defense of his written opinion Gunner laughed and said that if I should ever find a candidate that would stand against federal involvement in higher education that he would welcome that debate and welcomed that issue in the campaign. He said "Bring it on!" federal funds were necessary and appropriate. He repeated his defense a couple of times, with minor variations, in a condescending tone, laughing as he did so. His manner was dismissive and smacked of contempt… Not at all what I expected from the man I thought I had known for years.

My repeated response to Gunner was simply “What about the Constitution? Education is not specifically listed in the Constitution and therefore it remains with the States and/or the People. What about the Constitution?”

Evidently being frustrated with my response, I was rudely and loudly interrupted and mocked by a highly animated Gunner who threw his arms up in the air, laughed loudly and with a much raised voice said things like “WELL, YOU GOT ME DALE! YOU’RE RIGHT AS USUAL… AND I’M WRONG! I’M JUST A LOW DOWN LIE’N SO’N SO! I’M JUST A HYPOCRITE!”

I tried to return the conversation to a private and polite one but Gunner’s body language, words, rising volume and timing (said just as a large number of people were arriving to the open house) all clearly indicated Gunner was not going to be… reasonable.

As I departed I looked at Gunner one last time and asked “So, this is how it’s going to be?” Gunner just smirked and looked away.

In Gunner’s campaign advertising he makes it a point that a lot has happened and changed since he last ran for congress. I agree. Gunner has changed to where I (and others) no longer recognize him and can no longer support his election. If seeking election will cause a man to betray and publicly try to humiliate his friends, solely to appear more moderate, compassionate and electable… What will he do if actually elected… or what would he be willing to do to someone he does not consider as a friend? Political ambition, and the pursuit of status over service, has ruined many a person.

There is seldom an instance of a man guilty of betraying his country who had not before lost the feeling of moral obligations in his private connections...Nothing is more essential to the establishment of manners in a State than that all persons employed in places of power and trust be men of unexceptionable character. Like Gunner himself says on his campaign website: “We need a congressman that has a fundamental understanding of the U.S. Constitution.” I agree… and I do NOT believe Gunner has that fundamental understanding. Gunner’s progressive approach to the Constitution, his willingness to make exceptions in it’s application, is precisely what has gotten the United States into the financial crisis we now find ourselves.

At our meeting Gunner did appear to have developed, and displayed, a politicians’ skill of handling inconvenient “situations”. One can only guess what the reaction will be to this.

BTW:

The material that caused this incident… was removed the next day from Gunner’s website… without comment, without contact… or apology. Gunner has also refused to talk about removing the material when asked by others if he did remove something.

Covering up... is that the conduct we want with our Representative...?

SKOCH... so far

After searching out information on those seeking to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives here in the 3rd District, my initial screening process has revealed only one candidate that qualifies – retired Brigadier General Bernie Skoch.

I want a person of proven ability... which is possessed by several of the candidates.

What I did NOT want is someone with a sense of entitlement or a political opportunist... or politicians that have been too long on the wrong side of important issues. That eliminated better than half of the field.

I definitely do NOT want a lawyer... someone who is trained to live in shades of grey, can speak out of both sides of their mouth at the same time and who is schooled in the principle of the law being a “game”. Lawyers have long since lost sight of the pursuit of Justice and Truth... while playing their “games”. Lawyers have also wrongly embraced a system of “precedent”... which basically says that if a legal mistake is made, it should be made over, and over, and over again.

Don't get me wrong... I like lawyers... some of my friends are lawyers... but lawyers need to be employed only for a specific legal task at hand, not governing those of us who still believe in and understand justice and truth... and a few other absolutes beyond lawyers comprehension.

What I really want... is a candidate who is capable of handling the position... someone who is willing and able to stand toe-to-toe with domestic enemies of the Constitution... and beat them... without compromising principle. Someone who will maintain his or her integrity... and who understands and lives according to honor.

I also want someone who is running… reluctantly… out of a sense of necessity and duty, rather than just wanting to move up the political ladder or for status improvement.

Where Is The Corporate Shame... and Consumer Anger?

Has sexual sin and sexual deviancy become so commonplace and embedded in American culture that there is no shame in its support and promotion?

For those yet unaware, the Human Rights Campaign is America’s premier advocate of sexual sin and perversity. The recently published Human Rights Campaign's 2009 Corporate Equality Index shows at least 259 corporations who pride themselves (a 100% rating) in their acceptance and promotion of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexual and transgender sexual confusion and depravity. These are not corporations who have simply signed onto a politically correct agenda. These corporations have made a corporate decision to spread the radical homosexual/lesbian message and force their employees to also embrace it. They actually pride themselves in being included on lists like this.

Are these “fringe” corporations? Obscure corporations? Here, I’ll let you judge that: American Express, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Apple, AT&T, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Campbell Soup Co., Cargill, Chrysler, Clear Channel Communications, Coca-Cola, Dell, eBay Inc., Ford, General Motors, Intel, IBM, J.C. Penney, Littler Mendelson PC, Microsoft, Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., PepsiCo, Sears, Starbucks, Target, Toyota Motor Sales USA, Walgreen’s, Walt Disney, Whirlpool… and many more.

Not so many years ago it would have been thought extremely detrimental to a corporation’s image to be associated with sexual perversity, but apparently not today. Corporations once strove to have their products associated with the wholesome but now seem racing to embrace sexual filth, all in the name of “diversity” and “tolerance”.

Not all “change” is good. You can change your location by going from the frying pan into the fire. Likewise, foolishly including the sexually perverse and depraved in things to pride oneself in, for the sake of diversity and tolerance, is also not good. It is not good personally or corporately.

Where is the outrage from the American people (consumers)?

Congressman John Boozman - DON'T FORGET WHAT HE DID!

When I ran against Congressman John Boozman in 2004 for the U.S. Congress I did so as an Independent who wanted to see the U.S. Constitution once again the highest law of the land. I was tired of seeing John and his cronies butcher the Constitution on nearly a daily basis, all in the name of the “greater good” with public policy being determined, not according to the Constitution, but according to what made the legislators and their constituents “feel good”. Congress was proving, over and over again, the words of philosopher and educator, Bertrand Russell: "There is no nonsense so errant that it cannot be made the creed of the vast majority by adequate governmental action."

Legislating for fear of rightful and just consequences, Congressman Boozman and others have now forced their constituents to bail out irresponsible, extravagant billion dollar businesses. Where does the Constitution enumerate that as a proper function of the federal government? Congressman Boozman’s vote in favor of the bailout is, at best, a betrayal of his oath of office and the public trust. America has been tilting towards socialism for many years now. Congressman Boozman has now voted to imbed and institutionalize socialistic principles within accepted congressional function and practice.

Failing to represent his constituents and failing to adhere to the Constitution, Boozman chose instead to support an errant and dangerous unconstitutional action. This no mere mistake, this is a gross failure of integrity and a complete departure from the principles he once said he had.

And make no mistake: This is not about rescuing the American economy and helping the people of the US; it is all about privileged elites, rescuing other privileged elites.

Liberal thought and philosophy is marked by an intellectual slothfulness that defies rational explanation. Apart from mental illness, attached to an elitist, arrogant and duplicitous ideology, you cannot logically explain why liberals embrace the destructive philosophies they do. They are devoid of logic, reason and what used to be common sense. They are, in a word, dangerous - dangerous to American liberty, dangerous to American freedom and dangerous to the preservation of the Constitution and the American way of life.

Operationally liberals practice nearly zero integrity while publishing an abundance of specious articles allegedly “making their point”. By shear persistence they try to wear people down. They are not constrained by, nor dissuaded by, inconveniences like truth; they simply ignore truth and press on. No thinking is necessary, no research, no work, no stress, no confusion – just spew forth the liberal dogma and all is well.

"Man's Free Will"... Is Sacrilege

There apparently is in the world and the Church today a great amount of confusion over the so-called “free-will” of man, especially concerning salvation and coming to know God.
This confusion stems primarily from the anthropocentric Arminian character of today’s congregations and clergy, and the correspondingly confused gospel being preached.

Instead of properly presenting the Gospel as an efficacious proclamation of grace, mercy and love bestowed upon God’s chosen, the gospel is twisted, distorted and wrongly portrayed as an exercise of human intellect and persuasion requiring man-generated faith (man’s contribution) and a free-will decision to accept or reject.

Martin Luther correctly penned, “If any man doth ascribe aught of salvation, even the very least, to the free-will of man, he knoweth nothing of grace, and he hath not learnt Jesus Christ aright.”

The cry is then heard: “But without free-will, man is a robot!” But then, who is man to criticize God? Will what is formed say to Him that formed it, why have you made me like this?

Whether it be from ignorance or deliberation, the general betrayal of the doctrine of Grace, coupled with the clergy’s preaching of a seeker sensitive, humanistic version of grace, with it’s false reliance on man’s “free-will”, is not only heresy, but the seedbed of spiritual confusion in the Church today.

Any serious student of Scripture must conclude with C.H. Spurgeon when he wrote: “It has already been proved beyond all controversy that free-will is nonsense… There never was a man who came to Christ for eternal life… for spiritual life, who had not already received it…”

God makes - has already made - the all-important decision regarding a person’s salvation. Abandoning the doctrine of God’s sovereignty in election and predestination for the secular humanistic invention of “free-will”… is sacrilege.

Say what you will about us Christian “radical rightwing types”, but the one thing you can’t honestly say is that we were/are wrong.

For decades we have warned that by departing from the Judeo/Christian principles and ethics that built our country, we would see an increase of unethical behavior at all levels of our society. We are there.

We warned that there was a cultural war taking place to throw Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ out of our Country. We are there.

Despite hollow, ill-informed and cowardly assurances that it could never happen, we continued to sound the alarm. We are there.

We also warned that homosexuality and lesbianism would become commonplace in its acceptance and taught in the public schools as being normal. We are there.

We warned that abortion would become a means of birth control. We are there.

We warned that the judiciary was slowing seizing control of the other two branches of our government and that eventually we would be ruled by black robed despots and five members of the Supreme Court instead of our elected representatives. We are there.

For years we have warned that unconstitutional and unrestrained spending by the government would lead to huge deficits and a debt that would shift a huge burden upon our children and their children’s children – adversely affecting their very ability to enjoy the traditional American way of life. We are there.

We warned about domestic enemies of our Constitution and the insidious, deceitful and deceptive nature of Socialism/Communism. How they were devising, some deliberate, some ignorantly, ways of taking captive our Country and destroying the American way of life. We are there.

On all the “hot-button” social issues and potentially catastrophic economic issues of the past several decades, we “radicals” have been right… so… why are you still following those who were/are wrong?

They will say, or do, anything to get elected or re-elected and are about as concerned over their constituents... as a fox is over the contents of the henhouse. Their sole interest, despite their condescending, pretentious and bombastic platitudes, is about what directly benefits them and what future benefits they can pocket while playing the “devoted public servant” game. Devoted public servants, Ha!

They are the enemy, playing the American people,YOU and me, as suckers. P.T. Barnum is their high priest! They pose, and are, the single most serious threat to American liberty and freedom, more than anything or anyone else!

Recently, some Americans have been criticized for how they treated their “representatives” in local town hall meetings. These Americans actually had the audacity to raise their voices and show anger at what Congress and the President were doing to the Country. Could it be that after decades of being ignored, these Americans were saying “We're mad as Hell and we're not going to take it anymore!”...? About time!

You'll notice politicians are now listening... running scared, running away, taking cover, but listening. Maybe they would listen even better if instead of just raising our voices, one or more of them were taken outside, stripped, tarred and feathered , given a Civics 101 lesson on how to lawfully function under the Constitution and then run out of town on a rail...? They could then pass the lesson learned along to their friends. (A full color picture account would be provided them.) Just a... thought.

The ACLU is seeking to have a public school principal and teacher jailed for saying grace at a meal. Who is next? This type of religious persecution is inexcusable! America was settled by those fleeing similar religious persecution.

Congress and some state legislatures are now considering deceitful “Hate Crimes” legislation that is, more than anything else, about religious persecution (primarily Christians) and the institutionalization and social acceptance of sexual perversity.

How long is America going to suffer these insane and lunatic attacks on their First Amendment rights by these anti-American un-American domestic enemies of the Constitution? The First Amendment is not nuanced! It is plainly stated and easily understood. Have you read it lately…?

As an American citizen I have the right to freely exercise my religion.

My religion was not given to me in a Church building nor intended to be confined to and practiced only in a Church building.

As an American, I have God given rights, among which are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Our Government was instituted to secure those rights and others enumerated in the Constitution. A primary right is to be able to, without coercion by authorities or penalty, acknowledge Almighty God and thank Him for those rights and the blessings He has bestowed upon me and my Country. Our children, grandchildren and their children’s children need to be educated on where and from Whom the rights and blessings they enjoy flow. Have you read the Declaration of Independence lately…?

The government, instead of securing those rights, has become destructive of those rights by its exercise of unjust power. The 800 lb Gorilla In The Room

The number one danger to America today is the predominant perception by most Americans that they and theirs are in no real danger.

The unalienable rights making up the liberty and freedom embodied in the name “America” are being eroded and out rightly eliminated at an alarming rate. Congress is currently fast tracking the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, along with all those specifically enumerated rights protected by the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights, into extinction.

Governmental abuse and corruption has become so institutionalized, commonplace and tolerated, it operates with virtual impunity within the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, despite being in plain view.

What hope is there for America…? Let me preface my answer with this statement: America was not founded by cowards, nor will it be kept by cowards.

Currently America is populated with an overabundance of fearful, fat & lazy, apathetic and complacent cowards. Duty, honor and integrity; founding elements of America, are now just simply words. Will we force our children and grandchildren to fix what needs fixing…? We are RAPIDLY running out of time.

The 800 lb gorilla in the room, that nobody wants to talk about, is this: How close are we to having to exercise our constitutional right guaranteed by the Second Amendment – for its original intent? If alive today, Thomas Jefferson would have undoubtedly, before now, published anew his “Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms”.

Time For John Brummett To Go

Enough already! On America’s birthday John Brummett would have all believe America is but a bastard child of secularists and not born of Providence!

I grow increasingly angry by my having to be subjected to his poorly researched tirades and his inaccurate, un-unique and totally predictable Castro brothers/Hugo Chavez perspective. Have you ever wondered what those “domestic enemies” of America and the Constitution look or sound like? I give you John Brummett.

Building his entire argument that America was not founded as a Christian nation Brummett cites the singular reference used by his kind, the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli. That Treaty included language that was specifically designed to distinguish and separate America from the heretical and heavy-handed so-called “Christian” nations of Europe infamous for their waging of wars. Desperately clinging to this singular reference, Brummett ignores the founding documents of America, the published debates and written volumes of America’s Founders clearly establishing that America was founded as and designed to function as a Christian nation.

Contrast Brummett, who is of no consequence, to John Quincy Adams, 6th US President, son of 2nd US President John Adams, who on July 4, 1821 in a speech to the U.S. House of Representatives said: "The highest glory of the American Revolution was this; it connected, in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity."

And then we have from John Jay - first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, First President of the United States - preceding George Washington and one of three men most responsible for the US Constitution, this: "Providence has given our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers."

We even have Supreme Court decisions declaring America to be a Christian nation… and then we have Brummett.

Brummett is a duplicitous, unstudied, shameless and treasonous revisionist while Adams and Jay lived, witnessed and were responsible for making the history Brummett denies and would re-write. Just who has the greater credibility…?

In 1795 Thomas Paine wrote his infamous attack upon Christianity “Age Of Reason” and went from American patriot and hero to being a social outcast. He, like Brummett, practiced the blackest of treasons by attacking the very foundation of America and Brummett, like Paine, should suffer the same consequence.

Enemies of America, both foreign and the domestic, understand fully that if you can destroy the foundation, the rest will collapse. That undermining of America’s foundation, whether deliberate or borne from ignorance, should not be tolerated by those who still love America and should be exposed at every opportunity. America was not founded by cowards and America and its Constitution will not be preserved and protected by apathetic cowards.

I question the wisdom of any business enabling a domestic enemy of the United States, through a paid position, to regularly infect and deceive others. What motive is behind that…?

Obama... Racist or Sexist?

Want proof positive that racism is alive and well in these United States?

Question: What gives Barack Obama the right to claim being a black American?

Granted his father was a black African man, but his mother was a white American woman. Is Obama a practicing racist, or sexist? He either is claiming that the black race is superior and/or dominant to the white race, thereby making his father’s race dominant… or he is claiming that the man alone determines the race of the child and the mother plays no part. After all: Have you EVER heard Obama refer to himself as being a white man?

I know that "mulatto" is a politically incorrect word these days, as is "half-breed", but would those not be a more honest, less racist or sexist way of describing Barack Obama’s racial profile?

I have known… mixed race children, who appeared very “light skinned” and “European” in features. Are they also to be called “black”…? If so… Why? If not… Why not? This gets even more complicated when the father is white and the mother is black. Does the racist rule apply… or the sexist rule?

Is it a matter of percentages…? If that is the case, my grandfather had extremely curly and kinky hair… with many thinking they knew why. His name was Wilson, but everyone called him “Curly”. Does this entitle me to be known as a black or afro-American…?

If Obama wants to consider himself a black American… he must explain if he is doing it for racist reasons… or sexist reasons.

If supporters are motivated by Obama’s declared racial allegiance and identification… they need to understand if they are supporting him because of racist reasons… or sexist reasons.

I prefer to see all persons as members of the same race… the HUMAN race.

Are you a subservient, kept beggar… or a proud American?

While running for the U.S. Congress in 2004 I learned some things.

Baby-boomers are regularly being demoted and “re-classified” into lower pay scales. Seniority and job performance are being cast aside with preference of better jobs going to younger and cheaper employees. American citizens are not being hired… because they can only speak ENGLISH! Some employees are being forced to travel to foreign countries, training the foreign workers who will soon have their jobs! Employees are being forced into humiliating and degrading situations and have no protections. If they do not submit to the will of their employers, they are fired.

Business’s response to employee concerns? Increasingly employees are reminded, “Your employment is AT WILL. You, or we, can terminate your employment at any time for any or no reason.” In other words, “If you don’t like it, there’s the door.”

Who has orchestrated this callous abandonment of principle and loyalty to American employees? Was it deliberate? You bet it was!

Businessmen are smart - and organized. They have their “unions”; they just call them “associations” or “country clubs”. They eat together, drink together and socialize together. For their mutual benefit they discuss controlling business expenses (the largest being employee salaries and benefits), formulate plans and then work together to accomplish them. Just who do you think got the Arkansas Legislature to make Arkansas a “Right To Work – At Will Employment” state? Hint: They hire and fire you and reap the financial benefits of being able to coerce and dictate all terms of employment.

Brummett's Bigotry

John Brummett’s Time Record column of Sunday, August 19th entitled “Religious Kooks Not True Christians” is a perfect example of a growing institutionalized anti-Christian bigotry. From his purely secular perspective, Brummett regularly castigates that of which he has no knowledge (real Christianity) and conjures from his humanistic crystal scepter what all “true Christians” can, according to The Book of Brummett 1:1, properly say or do.

Where is the outrage?

Come, let us reason together: The First Amendment guarantees a free press… imagine if the press were told that they could no longer cover or comment on certain legitimate stories…?

The primary reason columnists like Brummett and their employers can get away with publishing attacks on Christianity is the increasing cowardice of most American pastors. They have long ago put aside the Shepard’s staff, surrendering to the fear of man, and are allowing their flocks to become the disunited and wounded crippled prey of the enemy.

Despite America’s highest law of the land specifically guaranteeing the FREE EXERCISE of their faith, which definitely includes the Biblical calling to shepard, stand and preach against specific sin and evil. Pastors cower, retreat and surrender to the intimidations of the IRS, organizations like “Americans United for Separation of Church and State”, and columnists like John Brummett.

Pastors – Who are you that you fear mortal man? Why have you forgotten the Lord your maker? Why have you compromised your calling? Fear God… and nothing or no one else! While that should be enough, you also have the protection of the Constitution! Stop cowering!

You want America to again be a God-ly nation? Stand – proclaim the whole truth or resign… and get a job where your hypocrisy and dereliction will not be such an affront and offense to Almighty God.

Labor Unions - A Necessity

My grandpa was a Republican his entire adult life. He also was a small business owner… and an outspoken advocate of unions and union membership.

He saw unions as necessary to grow a good future for the “regular guy” and to provide vocational choice protections. He was right. Businessmen look out for one another through various organizations, associations, political contacts and the prudent use of contracts. Unions, if done right, provide for the employees the same good business practices long recognized by business owners and managers as essential for business success.

Many have forgotten that the American middle class owes its very existence to unions. Who brought the employers to the bargaining table? The unions did.

FACT: Under Arkansas law, what employers give, they can take away… arbitrarily and with impunity – unless there is a contract. Individual employees have minimal rights at best and can lose all, much or most, at the whim of the employer. Employers are quick to say “Trust me”, but why then won’t they put it in a contract? Our bosses realize the business benefits of contracts… why do some employees not?

With active local control and local people in charge, unions will reflect the character and concerns of the employees represented, including the continued well-being of the business they are in. Union jobs historically have and will pay more, have better benefits and working conditions, and will be more secure.

Being nearly 3 years into a legal battle to regain my job and life investment of 28 years, lost for just contacting a union to protect myself and my fellow employees, I believe it crucial that all employees, especially middle-aged and older employees, become educated about their rights under the law and the potential real benefits and safeguards available to them through union membership.

False Patriots

Christendom is warned about false preachers, teachers, apostles, prophets and brethren. Throughout the years watchmen within the Church have sounded a clarion warning while most in the Church chose to turn a deaf ear. That shameful disregard has had tremendous consequence.

The writings of the Founders of our Country warn Americans of false patriots - those that will claim great patriotism, wrap themselves in the Flag, yet are dedicated to serving themselves, their ideologies and interests - and not the Country. Most Americans have turned a deaf ear to those warnings (or are completely oblivious to them) and our Country is suffering the consequences. The damage already done… is rapidly approaching the irreparable.

The one single standard given to identify a false patriot is remarkably simple… and greatly alarming. You are a false patriot if you do not sincerely support and defend the Constitution. And mere lip service disqualifies. By definition: You cannot be an American patriot if you are constitutionally illiterate.

The whole identity, and uniqueness of America lies within the Constitution and its framework and philosophy of and for government. Those that bend, twist and contort the Constitution, claiming it to be a “living document” are false patriots. "On every question of construction carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed." - Thomas Jefferson

Using the Constitution as the sole standard, you can easily recognize false patriots by their words, resolutions, acts, and votes… and for whom they vote. If a legislator or citizen cannot give a clear constitutional basis for what they support and why – they are false patriots.

Arrested for having UNREGISTERED BIBLES...

Fayetteville, AR:

Eight law enforcement agencies headed by Federal BATF Agents descended on the home of a friend of mine and placed him under arrest for having in his possession three handwritten, unregistered and untaxed Bibles and an unregistered copy of John MacArthur’s book “Reckless Faith – When the Church Loses Its Will To Discern”. It is rumored that my friend also had in his possession unregistered copies of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

Ass. U.S. Attorney Wendy Johnson filed motions asking U.S. District judge Jimm L. Hendren to prevent my friend and his attorney from arguing that his arrest was a violation of the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment. Hendren granted the motion.

Hendren cited a 1984 federal law that made it illegal for U.S. citizens to have in their possession unregistered and untaxed Bibles, religious writings and copies of any documents that include or support the philosophies contained in the Declaration and Constitution.

Recent judicial rulings have determined that the 1984 federal law used by Ass. U.S. Attorney Wendy Johnson and U.S. District judge Jimm L. Hendren, despite actually saying so, prohibits the public from having most “religious” and/or “patriotic” books and documents in their possession unless they first purchase a license and pay the prescribed tax for that privilege.

Local religious and political leaders were contacted for comment. Most did not know of the case, and didn’t care. Those that were aware of the case refused comment, using Constitutional illiteracy as their affirmative defense.

My friend has subsequently been “tried”, in the kangaroo sense of the term, and is now serving six years in prison.

OK, OK… I substituted Bibles for guns and used the First Amendment instead of the Second Amendment for this parody. So… what’s the Constitutional difference?

Can you morally disqualify yourself from elective and/or appointed office? Yes. Will that moral disqualification prevent you from getting that office? In America today… probably not.

The character of John Adams in the musical “1776” eloquently asks, “Is anybody there? Does anybody care? Does anybody see, what I see?”

Open hostility to Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ, practicing, supporting, enabling and defending sexual promiscuity, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism and the murder of unborn children; lying, violating solemn oaths of office, ignoring the Constitution and other established laws (lawlessness), the inability to judge right from wrong or good from evil are now all pretty much tolerated and accepted by the majority in America today.

What happened? What happened to the moral compass of the greatest country the world has ever known?

I talk all the time to professing fundamentalist Christians who, come Election Day, set aside Biblical truth and blindly vote for their political party, both Democrats and Republicans. Principle… that standard which made BOTH parties great, is compromised for pragmatism and a corrupting, deceiving party spirit.

Nineteenth Century revivalist Charles G. Finney correctly observed, "If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it."

Fear of man, fear of conflict and especially fear of the government (IRS) has caused a winnowing of the American pulpits… finding most empty.

A DISHONEST MAN by Don Bright

U.S. District Judge Jimm Larry Hendren is a dishonest man. Hendren practices dishonesty in the most devious and destructive form there is. Hendren lies for the State. Hendren lies in order to keep the benefits of power: Power for himself and power for others of his ilk who use their power to strip others of their freedom. It takes a powerfully warped ego to make a person so arrogant as to lead that person into the corruptness that is manifested in Hendren’s judicial vacuousness.

Jimm Hendren is the antithesis of “honorable”, a term that is attached to his black robe and, in this case, not the man. I have been in many courtrooms in my life and have always performed as instructed by the phrase “all rise!” On January 12, 2007 I stayed in my seat when that call came to announce the judge’s leaving the courtroom. I did that because after being exposed to the gangrenous demagoguery and arrogance that flowed so eloquently from the lips of this man I felt no need to “rise!”. It felt good.

What I had just witnessed was the behavior of the generic target of our forefathers when they defined the danger of the state without boundaries. Our Constitution was written for the sole purpose of stopping men like Hendren. Most troubling is the fact that Hendren is well aware of that. His fear of being exposed as the power groping statist he is was, I am sure, the very reason he took the actions and made the declarations he did during the trial I witnessed.

The trial I am writing of was The United States vs. Hollis Wayne Fincher. Mr. Fincher was subjected to a “no knock” assault from the minions of the federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies and arrested for having “illegal” guns in his possession. The raids (there were warrants for 13 other friends of Wayne) themselves were of little note here. Although more “illegal” guns were confiscated from others who were raided, only Wayne was arrested. Why? I’ll let the officer that was part of one of the raids where the person involved was not placed under arrest speak on that. That officer, when asked by the victim of the raid why he (the victim) was not being arrested, made the following statement, “we’re after Wayne Fincher”.

This startling revelation made the reasons behind the “get Wayne Fincher” raids very clear to all of us who follow local politics in the Washington County area. Wayne was a very brilliant and formidable opponent of those in power in the area. His imposition of constitutional guidelines and laws into the give and take of Washington County politics frightened his opponents. It made sense that they would stop at nothing to get rid of this man. They did. I’ll let the reader fill in the blanks here… I want to get back to that Hendren fellow.

It is no secret that our federal government is exercising more and more power over the individual is the last half of this century, give or take. And one does not need to have an IQ in 3 digits to know that the Constitution is an offense to those whose thinking is statist.

They hate it. Thus it has become necessary for these elitists to make the Constitution irrelevant. How best to do that? Simple. Instruct the judiciary to exercise control of it.

This they have done. The simple exerting of two fictions is all that is necessary for this task. (1.) Instruct the populace that only they (the judiciary) can interpret the meaning of the Constitution, and (2.) buttress that fiction by excising the Constitution from the courtroom.

That is how we end up with lapdogs the likes of Hendren. He will resort to any kind frightening rhetoric and gavel thumping arrogation to protect his naked regalia and that of his fellow travelers. To exercise control over the commons is commonplace in these exalted waters.

Let’s take a look at how Hendren did just that in ruling over the Fincher trial. With inordinate comfort and a hubristic smile “judge” Hendren did the following:

* Refused to “allow” the use of Fincher’s ultimate and necessary defense, i.e. the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Arkansas.

* Refused to “allow” Fincher his inalienable and constitutional right (6th Amendment) to be tried by a jury. Hendren would only “allow” Fincher to give testimony in front of Hendren, himself, and then denied Fincher the right to be heard by a jury of his peers.

* Intimidated the jury by telling the jury it could not think outside the box the judge defined.

To back up these charges, I offer the following quotes from Hendren’s instructions to the jury:

“You are the sole judges of the facts: but you must follow the law as stated in my instructions, whether you agree with it or not.” (Editor’s note: Simply a lie. All jurors in the United States have the right to acquit if they think the judge is incorrect in his definition of the law, if they think the law is a bad law, or if their conscience tells them the defendant is being abused by the prosecution or judge. http://www.fija.org/)

“It is your duty to find from the evidence what the facts are. You will then apply the law, as I give it to you, to those facts. You must follow my instructions on the law, even if you thought the law was different or should be different.” (Editor’s note: See above notation.)

Compare the above quote from earlier ones in his instructions to the jury:

"Each of you must make your own conscientious decision, but only after you have considered all the evidence, discussed it fully with your fellow jurors, and listened to the views of your fellow jurors.”

“You are entitled to consider that evidence in the light of your own observations and experiences in the affairs of life”). Emphasis is mine.

About the defense introducing and interpreting the Second Amendment as evidence Hendren had this to say: “…and I don’t know that I’ve got a problem with that, but I think that there would be a problem if the matter were going to be submitted to the jury about whether they think that is what the First Amendment – the Second Amendment – says or not, because that’s not a matter for the jury to decide. The Court will tell it what the law is, the applicable law.”

On the role of the judge and that of the jury Hendren makes this arrogant and errant barrage of affluent:

“The judge, being myself in this case, is tasked with determining issues of law, evidence, (sic) and procedure. Those matters are not for the consideration of the jury. It would be unfair to put it to them. They are not legally trained. They’re not judges. They’re not trained and hopefully experienced (sic). They’re not experienced in such things.”

In other words, according to Hendren, American citizens who sit on a jury are too stupid to be there. Why, then, I ask, do we even have juries? Hendren, obviously, considers juries one of life’s burdens put upon judges.

So what to think?

I think that Hendren’s chicanery, evasion and ambivalent stratagem points to the existence today of the very thing that our forefathers sought to avoid through the Constitution – a dictatorial judiciary that sets the rules for the other two “co-equal” branches of government and the citizenry a large.

I think that there are men who are so unlimited in ego and self delusion that they not only break the rules and laws of society…they indeed break the bonds of humility that must govern civilized society.

Jimm Hendren does not judge…he cheats.

Rebirth of Congressman John Boozman...?

The apparent ineptness of Arkansas 3rd Congressional District voters to be able to rightly discern fact from fiction, and truth from lies in politics, is bordering on the cataclysmic.

Congressman John Boozman 01/09/07 on the IRAQ WAR: “At this point, I think all of us have some real concerns about the direction of the war…”

Boozman 01/17/07 on TAX REFORM: “It is time we end the talk of reforming the tax code and get to actually doing something about it.”

Two serious and major issues spoken on publicly in only about a week’s time… but wait.

Look at the dates.

What you are witnessing is a first hand lesson in political expedience or what is more euphemistically referred to as “political CYA”.

Up until recently, during his entire tenure as a congressman, Boozman has enjoyed the benefits of being a member of the majority party… and yet he chose to do nothing of substance. His party falls out of favor… and now he speaks out?

When I caught Boozman abusing the franking privilege and converting $35,000 of taxpayer money to his own re-election effort… where was his call for reforming the congressional frank…? He instead relied on his majority party cohorts to run interference and protect him.

John Boozman has not been politically re-born and motivated to real action. His derelict silence on the unconstitutional arrest, staged trial, conviction and imprisonment of constituent Wayne Fincher for practicing specific constitutionally guaranteed Second Amendment rights exposes the real Boozman – fearful, inept, conflict adverse and a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

Will Arkansans again be deceived by Boozman’s continued bluff and bluster and hypocritical speech? We’ll see come 2008.

U.S. Constitution One Nail Closer To Burial

Today, January 12, 2007, another nail was violently placed into the coffin of the U.S. Constitution, not with a hammer, but with a judge’s gavel. United States District Judge Jimm L. Hendren, U. S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas presided over the staged trial of Hollis Wayne Fincher, a member of the Washington County Militia (WCM) for illegally possessing unregistered weapons. Fincher was found guilty.

In true kangaroo fashion the government illegally and unconstitutionally conceived, constructed and carried out its crime against Fincher.

The conception began with the government infringing on the Second Amendment right of American citizens to keep and bear arms. They illegally, and with no regard for the U.S. Constitution, passed a law that says Americans can only possess certain weapons if they first register them and pay an arms tax. Contrary to a clearly enumerated constitutional right, ignoring the Constitution, they restricted (infringed upon) the right guaranteed by the Second Amendment. Their action should be binding upon no law abiding American citizen. - "A legislative act contrary to the Constitution is not law." -- Justice John Marshall (1755-1835) US Supreme Court Chief Justice

Those that conceived the attack upon Fincher and the U.S. Constitution have become so inflated with their own preconceptions of what the Second Amendment means that they ignore those who truly knew its meaning. "The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of the republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally ... enable the people to resist and triumph over them." - Joseph Story, Supreme Court Justice, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, p. 3:746-7, 1833 – Justice Story is known as one of the Fathers of American Jurisprudence

The construct of the government’s case was… bizarre at best. The BATF was notified many years ago that Fincher possessed “prohibited” firearms – and took no action. The BATF then, on their own admission, recently began an investigation of Fincher months after learning through a local newspaper report that he and the WCM had “illegal” weaponry. Months after…(?) After learning of such a dangerous crime and obvious threat to the United States, it took months, to begin the investigation…(?)

The BATF then investigated Fincher for eight months - to learn what they could have learned in fifteen minutes on the website of the WCM or within a couple of minutes by attending a single regular WCM meeting. Did they feel that the length of time would somehow legitimatize their actions?

The carrying out of the crime against Fincher, and the Constitution itself, was a conspired work of art. The apparent and obvious collusion and orchestration in this case between Federal Magistrate Beverly Jones, Judge Jimm L. Hendren, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the BATF in inflating and fabricating the case against Fincher demonstrates a level of corruption that should be chilling for all Americans. These individuals and members of those agencies have willfully and deliberately set aside and ignored the U.S. Constitution to pursue their own agendas.

Since they were launching a full fledged attack upon the U.S. Constitution the government’s players had to make a mountain out of a molehill. A very dramatic no-knock warrant was served on Fincher’s home by eight law enforcement agencies – confirming only that Fincher was an American citizen in possession of firearms. Fraudulent testimony was offered, painting Fincher as a dangerous man, with the BATF and Federal Magistrate Jones conjuring up a paranoiac and dishonest fear of Fincher and the WCM resulting in their violating Fincher’s protected right to a reasonable bail.

Then… we have the trial.

The question before the court was whether or not a law abiding citizen, as protected by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 2 Sec. 5 of the Constitution of the Sovereign State of Arkansas, can legally possess weapons arbitrarily singled out by federal statute as not legally possessed unless they are registered with the federal government and a $200/weapon tax is paid. Simply stated: Are the U.S. Constitution and the Arkansas Constitution in full force and effect as the law of the land and do they mean what they so clearly say…?

In a classic demonstration of judicial tyranny, Hendren prohibited Fincher from raising a constitutional defense and freely testifying on his own behalf. Hendren struck down Fincher’s ability to argue the constitutional context of the alleged crime in front of the jury, insulating the law Fincher was accused of violating and then censored Fincher from telling the jury, in his own words, his (Fincher’s) motive and intent for committing the act he was being charged with. When a law is insulated from deliberative scrutiny; you can be sure that those insulating it know it cannot bear that scrutiny.

Hendren, relying on an ignorant, uninformed and constitutionally illiterate jury pool, egregiously denied the jury seated for Fincher from hearing any testimony regarding the offending law as being a clear usurpation of the Constitution. Not only was this an offense against Fincher, but also a deliberate judicial infringement by Hendren on the rights of the jury. In the words of America’s first U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice -"The jury has a right to judge both the law as well as the fact in controversy." - John Jay, in Georgia v. Brailsford, 1794:4) and "The people themselves have it in their power effectually to resist usurpation, without being driven to an appeal to arms. An act of usurpation is not obligatory; it is not law; and any man may be justified in his resistance. Let him be considered as a criminal by the general government, yet only his fellow citizens can convict him; they are his jury, and if they pronounce him innocent, not all the powers of Congress can hurt him; and innocent they certainly will pronounce him, if the supposed law he resisted was an act of usurpation." - Theophilus Parsons (2 Elliot's Debates, 94; 2 Bancroft's History of the Constitution, p. 267) - (Parsons was a leading supporter of the Constitution in the convention of 1788. He declined President Adams' nomination to be Attorney General and became Chief Justice of Massachusetts).

The results of this governmental abuse of power are the tragedies of an innocent man in jail, his family broken-hearted and the abusers celebrating their contrived victory.

This case truly has never been about the law, evidence and justice. If it had, Fincher would have remained a free man and would have been found not guilty by the jury.

My final word:

To those who are unwilling to stand against the government in this case, I say with all sincerity – I pray that your complacency and apathy will result in your suffering a similar persecution. May your personal legacy be remembered as one of cowardice and shame, and may your descendants rightly find you to be without honor and consider you to be a disgrace upon your family’s name.

Founders Second Amendment Intent

The emphasis is on the right to keep and bear arms, the need to do so… in control of the government. (Not a single mention of squirrel hunting found.)

Please pardon my frankness, but there is little time to say what is needed, and even less opportunity to be discreet or tactful.

Minutemen are revered in American History, and for good reason. When liberty and freedom sounded their call, the Minutemen responded.

Would they… will they today? That remains to be seen. You see… liberty and freedom are sounding a clarion call today and today’s Minutemen seem so distracted and so preoccupied with their duck, deer and squirrel hunting, they are not heeding, or even hearing the call.

First, up front, let me ask you some hard questions. Do you really believe your own rhetoric about Second Amendment rights? Or is that just so much chest pounding, bluff and bluster…? Are your Second Amendment constitutional beliefs founded in strength of conviction, or just the opportunity and excuse to spit, swagger and pretend to be macho?

A law abiding Arkansas citizen is being held in the Sebastian County Jail right now, for the “crime” of exercising his Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms – solely because he did not pay the prescribed tax for automatic firearms. His name is Hollis W. Fincher “Wayne” to his family and friends.

Just think about that for a minute… a tax… on a constitutional right? Where are the taxes on the free press? Free speech? Religion? The First Amendment rights are exempt, but not the Second…? Do Americans have to pay a tax to insure their right to a jury trial?

Wayne Fincher is an American patriot concerned over the seemingly unending erosion and diminishing of clearly defined and guaranteed constitutional rights. Especially Second Amendment rights. He has feared that if those trends were (are) not stopped, law abiding American citizens would fall victim to an increasingly tyrannous government and be arrested for exercising what are their rights. His strength of conviction caused him to act on those convictions. Given his current location and a repressive and undeserved $250,000.000 bail – Were his fears unfounded?

Wayne understands what Humphrey and the Attorney General’s Office expressed along with what Thomas Jefferson and the others who gave us our Declaration of Independence and Constitution understood: "When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." – Thomas Jefferson

Folks, depriving Wayne or others of the ability to fight, as a last resort, tyranny at the hands of the U.S. government, infringing upon their right to keep and bear the arms necessary to do so, is a deliberate usurpation and trampling of constitutional Second Amendment protections.

Regular words fail to express what is going on here. Travesty, injustice, outrage… are just not enough. While appropriate, they fall short unless combined with words such as, usurpation, betrayal, corruption and yes, even treason.

Like myself, have you ever sworn the solemn oath to “protect and defend the (U.S.) Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic”? Did you rescind or recant that oath? I have not.

When I ran as the 3rd Congressional District Independent candidate for the U.S. Congress in 2004, I campaigned frequently at gun shows and gun clubs. I emphasized the need for federal representation that actually believed in the U.S. Constitution and would fight to protect it against all enemies, including the homegrown domestic enemies so prevalent today in the Judiciary, Congress, federal law enforcement agencies and federal bureaucracies.

Folks, we don’t have that kind of representation today. If justice is going to be had in the case at hand, we the people are going to have to secure it. Our current representatives are only going to sit on their hands or at the very best, wring them.

Those that won our freedoms and liberties pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to secure this nation. They were faithful and at tremendous cost, in blood and finances, this nation and our Constitution were born. Will we keep them…?

Wayne’s legal fight will likely be long and costly. Wayne and his family are already doing the heavy work… will we at least pick up the slack? What is this country… what is the Constitution worth to you?

Find Fincher - NOT GUILTY!

The recent illegal arrest and detention of Arkansas resident Hollis Fincher for possessing a fully automatic weapon should alarm all American citizens who believe the U.S. Constitution to still be theirs and in full force.

The Second Amendment states: “A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

As recent as 2004 the U.S. Attorney General’s Office properly recognized that “The Second Amendment secures a right of individuals generally, not a right of States or a right restricted to persons serving in militias.”

Remember, ownership of such a weapon is NOT illegal today, as long as the owner pays the Federal Government the appropriate tax for such ownership. Which begs the question: Why must you pay a TAX to practice a Constitutional right? To secure their guarantees, are we to tolerate taxes on the First… Fourth, Fifth and other Amendments?

Mr. Fincher and I (and many others) fear a continued erosion of liberty, freedom and rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Unfounded fear? Visit Mr. Fincher in jail, if you can, and convince him his fears are unfounded.

Does Mr. Fincher and the people of the United States, short of taking up arms, have it within their power to effectively resist the ongoing assault on their Constitution by Congress, the Courts and the Executive? Absolutely! It’s called “trial by jury”.

Recognizing laws as being unjust and/or in violation of their Constitution, regardless of what anyone says (especially Federal Prosecutors and/or Judges) jury members have an absolute right to acquit anyone unjustly charged.

I just hope Mr. Fincher remembered to pay his jury trial tax…

Impeach Bush... and Congress

Contrary to the partisan drivel constantly being regurgitated by Democrats seeking only to make political “points”, there are legitimate and important reasons for impeaching President Bush. While there are several more aspects to be considered with his actual impeachment, I will confine these comments to the most pertinent, the undeclared wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

War is something forced on you, because of being attacked, or something you are forced into, because of a credible threat against your peace.

President Bush should be impeached, NOT because of going to war (for in the minds of reasonable people he had ample reason to seek a wartime status), but because of how he got the United States involved in them, and how he has prosecuted those wars.

Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution specifically states that only Congress can declare war. Article II, Section 1 specifies, by oath or affirmation, that the President “…will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

It is critical and should be importantly noted that nowhere in the Constitution is there a provision for specifically enumerated responsibilities being reassigned or redesignated – they cannot be “legislated” away or procedurally changed.

According to the founders of the Constitution, the only legitimate way for a specifically enumerated constitutional responsibility to be changed, or even slightly modified, is by amending the Constitution. Anything short of that, places the offender(s) in conflict with the Constitution itself and, in the case of President Bush and Congress, the solemn oath to support, protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign, and domestic. Those within the United States that circumvent, or seek to circumvent the Constitution, are, by their actions, domestic enemies of the Constitution. I give you President Bush. I give you Congress.

The issuance, and use, of unconstitutional authority constitutes impeachable offense.

Whatever President Bush’s perceived authority and motives may have been for getting the United States involved in war, it very simply cannot be found in the Constitution. Both he and Congress know that. Their offense is deliberate, calculated, not founded upon ignorance, but established in political arrogance. President Bush should be impeached… along with the majority of Congress.

The reason the Constitution requires Congress to declare war was, and is, multifaceted. Before you order citizens to into harms way, and the horrors of war, you must have a clear majority, if not the whole country, united. Before being asked to make the sacrifices necessary for waging successful war, the people, and the peoples’ representatives need to be educated on why a war is necessary and why it cannot, or should not, be avoided. Once that is established and the case for war has been won, a formal declaration of war should unite the whole of the country into winning, decisively, that war.

President Bush’s abuse of the Constitution in waging the current undeclared wars is exacerbated by his decision to then wage “politically correct” wars. Wars are not fought to “liberate” a portion of a country’s population and should not be waged for anything less than the total and complete unconditional surrender of a conquered enemy. Bush’s waging of politically correct war, not wanting to “offend” the international community, has, and continues to unnecessarily cost American lives and prolong any meaningful and lasting resolution to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Once decisively conquered, not “liberated”, the conquered people should be put under immediate martial law with no rights other than those allowed by the occupying American forces. Any acts of violence against American forces should be met with immediate, decisive and overwhelming response. Demonstrations of opposition to American occupation, any anti-American demonstration, should earn the demonstrators the designation of target.

Collateral damage is a reality and horror of war; one of those reasons that war is not entered into lightly, but should be recognized also as a necessity for a successful prosecution of war. Not in just winning the war and securing a lasting peace, but also a means to protect American troops. In war, a real war, the life of a single American soldier should be worth more than any amount of lives of the enemy.

Bestowing an American styled freedom and liberty upon a people(s) with totally different customs and values strains credulity and is foundational to President Bush’s error. After all, a people, for centuries not willing to fight to gain their own freedom and liberty, do we now expect them to deny their centuries old culture and heritage and successfully embrace a western style of society won for them and not by them?

Because President Bush has ignored and violated both the Constitution and his oath of office as President, he should be impeached.

Illegal arrest of Hollis Fincher

The deafening silence on the illegal arrest and detention of Hollis Fincher from elected officials who are sworn to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution can only be characterized as a cowardly breach of trust, and a violation of their solemn oaths of office. It is an outright shame when politicians avoid the necessary, important and needed controversy of important issues for the sake of political “safety”. John Boozman – just where do you stand? Do you REALLY support the Second Amendment rights of your constituency?

Both the U.S. and Arkansas Constitution unambiguously affirm the right of the American people to keep and bear arms.

The Second Amendment was provided to enable the American people to resist, if necessary, an American government turned tyrannous, not so they could merely hunt squirrels and ducks.

At Mr. Fincher’s detention hearing in Fort Smith, ATF agent Vittitow and Federal Magistrate Beverly Jones were reportedly intimidated and fearful about Mr. Fincher’s alleged violent talk and writings. Contemplate the fate of Thomas Jefferson at the hands of Vittitow and Jones if, living today, Jefferson again wrote as he did in 1787 "What country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms… The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." (emphasis added)

Or what would be the fate of Patrick Henry when he said, "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."? (emphasis added)

Dismissing the inevitable hysterical hyperbole of the anti-gun/Second Amendment forces and by calmly examining and evaluating Mr. Fincher’s speech and writings, you will find Mr. Fincher exemplifies the spirit that founded and preserves our nation while Vittitow and Jones exemplify the tyranny by government most feared by the Founders.

Democrats & Republicans... little diference

Democrats are the power base for the abortionists (baby killers), the depraved, the sexually deviant, the overtly perverse (homosexuals, lesbians, bi-sexuals, trans-sexuals, intergenerational intimacy proponents (pedophiles), comprehensive sex-ed course proponents, pornographers, etc.) and the socialists/communists of our day.

Republicans, while retaining some of the right sounding rhetoric, have become nothing more than whitewashed democrats. Hypocrisy is their trademark and political cowardice their hallmark. Some still talk a good game (in order to stir up the “troops”), but their actions once in office show them to be nothing more than a collection of empty suits suffering from spineless-itis devoid of integrity, honor and virtue.

Neither are concerned about how their actions affect the country, but only in whether they can accumulate more or retain political power. Both are domestic enemies of the Constitution.

I started my political life as a Democrat. In the 50’s and 60’s they were the party most concerned about the people of these United States. When they became morally and politically perverse, I was forced to switch. I worked for the Republicans for 25 years. Their song and dance about “Just get us a majority in the House, Senate and the White House and then you’ll see great things!” was just that, a song and dance. Their undeniable betrayal has breached all the trust and hope I had in them.

Vote and be - INDEPENDENT!

"Just Cause"... is just

My recently published advocacy of a “Just Cause” (JC) standard over the current “At Will” (AW) standard for dismissal of employees have some thinking I have departed from principles I advocated during my run for Congress as an Independent. Not a chance!

JC embodies the highest of American ideals - proper, thoughtful and “just” action for legitimate, definable and specific “cause”.

AW, on the other hand, is a complete departure from American ideals and embraces totalitarian and socialistic principles. AW lacks legitimate standards, is completely arbitrary, capricious and given to coercive, secretive, vengeful and controlling employer tactics, which by definition need only be based on an employer’s whimsical and unethical “will”.

American freedom, liberty – our whole way of life – necessitates responsible and virtuous conduct. A person’s word and/or handshake should be enough to conduct business. To our detriment – integrity, honor, propriety and just plain honesty have become outmoded business concepts, affecting not only the business/customer relationship, but also the employer/employee relationship.

When simple trust is absent, or unwise, businesses (employers) have long recognized the wisdom and benefits, as needed, of contracts. All terms, conditions, expectations, standards, compensations, penalties, bonuses, etc. are clearly spelled out for those doing business, offering protection and recourse to all parties involved. If good for businesses, customers and employers – why is it not also good for employees…? To say it is not, is dishonest and does violence to reason.

For America to regain the values and practices that made her morally and commercially great, employers and employees alike need to be re-educated and re-introduced to concepts such as honesty, loyalty, justice, fairness, propriety, honor, integrity, virtue and yes, even patriotism.

Israel's Only Real Choice

Hatred for the Jews and the Nation of Israel is widespread. That hatred is spiritual in origin, extremely visceral, irrational, and manifests itself in a wide variety of groups. Jews are the objects of attack by whacko conspiracy nuts, unreasoning bigots, errant religionists who see them as “Christ killers”, and will forever be the targets of annihilation by Islamic fascists and the descendents of Ishmael.

Fortunately, in Western Society, the nuts, bigots and religionists can usually be dealt with effectively through persistent and consistent confrontation, the repetitive education of their discretion and the public exposing of their lunatic dementia. At the very least, they can be shamed, isolated, controlled and held at bay on the fringes of Western society.

Unfortunately, such is not the case in the Middle East with the Islamic fascists and most Arabs and Arab states in general. Their hatred of the Jews and the nation of Israel appear to be attached to their very DNA and is an accepted part of their society, taught and reinforced in their schools, mosques, governments and families. In their minds and hearts, the destruction of Israel and the Jews is linked to not only the solution for all their worldly problems, but also the eternal destination of their souls. Enemies have united and cooperated, all in the name of destroying Israel. Make no mistake about it: If there were a button that could be pushed to kill all Jews (men, women and children) and eliminate the nation of Israel forever – these people would trample on one another to be the one to push it.

You cannot reason with the unreasoning. You cannot effectively exercise diplomacy or negotiate with an enemy that desires only to kill you and your children.

Past appeasement and compromise with its enemies has brought Israel to where they are now. Unfortunately and regrettably, kill or be killed - is Israel’s only real choice and chance for peace and security, and I pray for their success.

People or Resources...?

The term “human resources”, as near as I can determine, made its American appearance in the late 60’s or early 70’s. As the United States became increasingly socialistic “Personnel Departments” gave way to the politically correct “Human Resource Departments”.

In corporate America, people are no longer seen as individuals, but are viewed as part of the economic collective; mere objects to be used and managed, or thrown away. People are resources, no different than paper clips, pens, pencils and/or other raw materials… and are entitled to no more consideration. Need higher profits? Ship jobs overseas, hire illegals, reduce benefits and bonuses… or eliminate them altogether. Anything goes… so long as you improve the corporate bottom-line!

That philosophy dovetails perfectly with a Marxist idea also gaining strength in the business community today that teaches, “the ruling ideas are those of the ruling classes”. In other words – What management says is law. A classic current example of this philosophy is the “at-will” legal employment status of Arkansas workers. That “at-will” principle allows an employer to terminate any employee, for basically any reason, or for no reason. Employees have no rights because employers (the ruling class) have had the laws (the ruling ideas) written to THEIR standards, with no regard for the employees or their families.

The basic problem with such policy is that absolute power corrupts absolutely. “At-will” policy is devoid of equity, fairness and justice, and should be changed by the Arkansas legislature to a “Just Cause” standard. If not changed, Arkansas workers, especially older, long-term employees, need to protect themselves and their families from the unethical and unprincipled.

Labor Unions Now Necessary

“Union” is a word that elicits strong opinions and responses. Some reasoned, most reflex, poorly thought through, conditioned and more applicable to a different time in American history and culture. A PROPER union is nothing more than a group of employees along with their employer coming to the corporate bargaining table and arriving at a mutually beneficial contractual agreement. Reasonable people, negotiating fair and equitable contracts.

Disturbingly, our state legislators have, through “at-will” employment and “right to work” laws, effectively reduced Arkansan employee status to that of bond servants or slaves, with employee options fixed with either putting up with employer misbehavior, or losing their jobs. Fair, honorable, just and principled behavior by employers is strictly optional with employees being at the total mercy of the employers. Fear, intimidation and duplicitous politically correct pro-business rhetoric breed their predictable fruit, not good business. As a matter of public policy our legislators should work to see that neither is at the total mercy of the other. Respecting discipline and dismissal, “just cause” should be the standard, replacing “at-will”. Fact is - with the current politically correct corporate assault on employee personal liberties and compensations; a union affords employees their ONLY protection under the law.

Both employers and employees have the right to expect certain things from the other. Employers benefit from good employees and employees benefit from strong and healthy businesses. I am very pro-business – but as a working American I am also pro-employee, pro-family, pro-justice, pro-fairness, pro-honesty, pro-equity, etc.

In this day when honor and integrity are seemingly outmoded business concepts – doesn’t wisdom dictate that terms of employment should necessarily be covered by a written contract…?

It is only the unprincipled and untrustworthy who fear such contracts, and who have created the circumstances needing them.

If You Get Your Politics Wrong...

In 2004, as an Independent candidate for the U.S. Congress, I observed a level of tolerance towards the incompetence and breach of trust with the electorate by elected officials that, quite frankly, is responsible for the continued decline of America.

President Bush, Governor Huckabee, Congressman Boozman and Asa Hutchinson are all politicians that I once supported. I was deceived into believing that we had shared core values respecting the Constitution, the law and the pursuit of justice. However, their willful disregard for such things as already enacted immigration law provide a prima facia case attesting to their official malfeasance, misconduct, dereliction of duty and their nearly complete disregard of not only the law, but their solemn oaths of office as well.

As a Christian, you cannot persuade my vote for the “lesser of evils” because I would still be voting for evil. Please understand that I am not upset over simple differences of opinion or policy, but a deliberate abandonment of principle, honor and integrity for the sake of pragmatic political expediency. I don’t expect or require perfection from my representatives, but I do expect honesty, lawfulness and a sincere unswerving pursuit of truth and justice. Bush, Huckabee, Boozman and Hutchinson have deliberately and repeatedly betrayed those ideals.

And if what I have already written was not bad enough… they remain the lesser of evils offered.

America is institutionally and corporately mocking God, arrogantly and contumaciously elevating our national opinions, laws and policies over the wisdom and truth of Almighty God; thereby rejecting his providence and blessing.

We have officially, nationally and foolishly demoted, degraded and demeaned God’s immutable truth by effectively placing it on the same level as all the false beliefs and religions found in the world today.

Not heeding calls to return to our Christian foundation and heritage, we are instead witnessing an ever-increasing and relentless onslaught from the God-less hordes, and an idiotic and irrational increased complacency from professing Christians! God Bless America??? – Why?

Now, the world will do, what the world must do, with the God-less hordes neither seeing, hearing, nor understanding God-ly things. They have and always will eat and be filled with the fruit of their wayward ways and fatuous schemes. What is particularly alarming today is the willingness of Christians to eat and be filled with that same fruit – provided their political party serves it up.

Unless politicians, regardless of party affiliation or non-affiliation, are willing to PUBLICLY and OFFICIALLY acknowledge Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ (that acknowledgement not considered a religious test according to America’s Founders) and can demonstrate a legitimate commitment to the pursuit of real truth, real justice and the Constitutional American way – Christians have no business supporting them. Further, unless a politician will agree that a person can, in fact, be MORALLY and/or ETHICALLY disqualified from, and for, holding elective or appointed office – Christians have no business supporting them.

Ask your candidates precisely where and upon what they stand. Then vote accordingly.

Remember: If you get your religion wrong, you go to Hell. If you get your politics wrong, your country goes to Hell.

Judicial Review: Judicial Treason?

"It has long, however, been my opinion, and I have never shrunk from its expression...that the germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal judiciary;...working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped." - Thomas Jefferson 08/18/1821 on concern that the judiciary would become the ruling branch of government.

These words of timeless wisdom and warning from Jefferson should send chills of fear thru all patriotic Americans, because we find ourselves living within Jefferson's fears. The thieves are in control!

The judiciary has been more destructive to this nation than any other entity. Nearly all governmental and social turmoil today, exists not because of actions taken by the executive or legislative branches, but by the rogue judiciary. Abortion, pornography, the "normalization" of the sinful and immoral homosexual deviancy, school consolidation and on and on, exist because of judicial usurpation of executive and legislative authority and jurisdiction.

The judiciary, encroaching on others jurisdictions, along with their ruling ON the law instead of ruling ACCORDING TO the law, is the problem. The whole concept of "judicial review" - the judiciary sitting in judgment over the other two branches of the government - is unconstitutional... if you believe the framers of the Constitution and the Constitution itself. This errant and deceitful so-called "check and balance", is perversely illegitimate and destructive.

PLEASE CAREFULLY CONSIDER: Under our current corrupted system, at the Federal or State level, you could have ALL citizens in favor of "Just Law 1" and call for its enactment by a unanimous petition. After extensive, exhaustive debate and research "Just Law 1" could receive the complete support of ALL the legislators, be passed into law unanimously and signed into law by an agreeing executive. All agree that "Just Law 1" is constitutional and extremely beneficial to all of society, further, that without "Just Law 1" society would be dramatically and detrimentally impacted. - A simple majority on the respective Supreme Court then strikes the law down... simply because they don't like it.

Tyranny... conceived, executed and exercised by the judiciary, enforced and condoned by the executive and legislative branches, is a constitutional perversion of such great magnitude... it calls for a second American Revolution.

With impeachment being the constitutional remedy, it is time to get rid of the offenders, along with those cowardly executives and legislators who have and still allow this travesty and attack on the constitutions (national and state) to take place unchallenged.

The Constitution provides that we be governed by the duly elected, not ruled by a black robed oligarchy and accomplices – whoever they may be.

A very limited form of judicial review was considered legitimate at the founding of our Constitution, and could be considered legitimate today, involving the examination of a law only and strictly in light of the clear meaning and original intent of the Constitution. There, and only there, a legitimate check and balance against legal perversions resides. Going further than the clear meaning and original intent, straying into the nebulous and shadowy waters of the perceived "spirit" of a law, reading into or out of a law things found "between the lines", is where the current corruption of the judiciary lies.

Federalist #81 (Hamilton): "[T]here is not a syllable in the plan [the Constitution] which directly empowers the national courts to construe the laws according to the spirit of the Constitution."

Hamilton and others correctly reasoned that the courts were NOT to rule on laws "according to the spirit of the Constitution" because that would "enable the court to mold them into whatever shape it may think proper" which Hamilton properly identified "as unprecedented as it was dangerous."

"Refusing or not refusing to execute a law, to stamp it with its final character. . . . makes the Judiciary department paramount in fact to the Legislature, which was never intended and can never be proper." - James Madison

Holding the judiciary to its intended jurisdiction, ruling according to the law as provided them, will eliminate the ideological confirmation fights over judicial nominees. Accomplishing their personal agendas and furthering their personal worldviews will cease, or lead to their impeachment.

The integrity and trustworthiness of the entire justice system of the United States, as well as the whole system of government established by the Constitution, depends upon correcting the corruption within the judiciary and electing representatives who understand the gravity of judicial abuse, who are willing to act. Hand wringing over and complaining about judicial abuse must be replaced with action. When judges are guilty of judicial bad behavior, exhibiting non-judicial temperament, they should be impeached.

Reining in the judiciary to their proper constitutional role (it was intended to be the least powerful of the three branches of government, not the most powerful) will establish an impartial y, re-establishing truth and justice as the pursuits of the courts, not political agendas through judicial activism.

It is long past time for our representatives to actively stand against this corruption; in compliance with their oath of office. Elected officials have taken an oath to support the national and state constitutions and to faithfully discharge the duties of their office. The oath is NOT a symbolic, meaningless gesture to be pompously acted out and then forgotten! The oath is a sacred public trust. There are real foreign and DOMESTIC enemies of our constitutions, the freedoms, liberties and American way of life they protect. There are also many who aid and abet those enemies... making themselves complicit... and culpable as enemies themselves. Shamefully, many are unaware of their offense, and condemningly, when made aware... they ignore it.

I must now question the actual, substantive, patriotism, competence and trustworthiness of most of our current political leadership, as well as their basic character, suitableness and ability to lead. While you may be in almost every respect a likeable and "nice person", and claim great patriotism, you are no patriot if you consciously and willingly (actively or tacitly) condone or permit clearly un-constitutional practices. Your basic character is in question if through incompetence or unwillingness you fail to boldly stand against the usurpation and erosion of legitimate constitutional authority and exercise.

In politics "going along, to get along" is today's mark of a political coward, not a leader, and certainly not anyone deserving of the public's trust. Going about the business of government, maintaining the current status quo, all the while knowing there are those who are corrupting our very system itself, and doing nothing about it... is at best, derelict incompetence, and at worst, outright treason.

It is time to identify and deal decisively with these domestic enemies of the Constitution.

Doctrines of Grace

The historic five points of the doctrines of grace, simplified in the acrostic TULIP, distinguish Biblical theology at the key points of issue, but in no way exhaust the content of Biblical faith or doctrine. These five points include:

T - total depravity
U - unconditional election
L - limited atonement
I - irresistible grace
P - perseverance of the saints

Total depravity declares that all men are corrupted by the Fall to the extent that sin penetrates the whole person, leaving them in a state by which they are now by nature spiritually dead and at enmity with God. This results in the bondage of the will to sin by which the sinner is morally unable to incline himself to God, or to convert himself, or to exercise faith without first being spiritually reborn by the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit.

Unconditional election refers to God’s sovereign and gracious work of election by which, from all eternity, God determines to exercise saving grace to a particular group of people chosen from out of the mass of fallen humanity. God gives this saving grace according to the good pleasure of His will, and not according to some unforeseen actions, responses, or conditions met by men. God’s election is based purely on His sovereign grace and not upon anything done by humans. The elect are brought to saving faith by the work of the Holy Spirit. The elect receive special grace from God. The non-elect receive common grace, but in the end receive the justice of God.

Limited atonement means that though the value and merit of Christ’s atonement are unlimited and sufficient to save the whole world and are offered to all who repent and believe, the efficacy of the atonement is applied only to the elect, and that, by God’s design. This means that in God’s eternal plan of salvation the atonement was designed to accomplish redemption for the elect and that God’s plan of redemption is not frustrated by the refusal of the impenitent to avail themselves of its benefits. In this sense all for whom the atonement was designed to save, will be saved.

Irresistible grace refers to the grace of regeneration by which God effectually calls His elect inwardly, converting them to Himself, and quickening them from spiritual death to spiritual life. Regeneration is the sovereign and immediate work of the Holy Spirit, working monergistically*. This grace is operative, not cooperative, meaning that those who are regenerate always come to saving faith, as they are made willing to come to Christ to whom they most certainly flee and cling for their redemption.

Perseverance of the saints means that those who are truly regenerate and truly come to saving faith will never lose their salvation. They may fall via manifold temptations and spiritual weakness, even into radical sin but never fully and finally because God, by His grace, preserves them. The intercession of Christ for the elect is efficacious unto eternity.

*Monergism: The view that the Holy Spirit is the only agent who effects regeneration of Christians. It is on contrast with synergism, the view that there is a cooperation between the divine and the human in the regeneration process. (Westminster Dictionary of Theological Terms)

Mixing Religion & Politics

The infamous "They" say that the most dangerous topics to discuss are religion and politics and that you should never mix the two... boy... am I in trouble. These are at the top of my list, and for two very good reasons... If you get your religion wrong, you go to hell, and if you get your politics wrong, your country goes to hell.

Many tell me that the religious aspect of my politics will turn-off and alienate others towards any possible candidacy of mine. So be it. That level of intolerance, ignorance and bigotry is unfortunate, but understandable and expected. There is a constant tension between the God-ly and the worldly... and there always will be. For those who find a living faith... uncomfortable, but are still willing to try and understand, I would like to offer the following explanation, which you might even find interesting. Christians may also find the explanation interesting, and I hope a bit challenging.

I can no more divorce myself from my faith and the role it plays in every aspect of my life than I could stop breathing. The reason is that my faith is much more than a mere man-made "belief", it is my very Life. When I was born physically I was given by Almighty God, physical life, when I was born again by Almighty God, I was given spiritual Life. It should be noted that I sought out the second birth to the same extent I sought out the first. To deny the second would be as ridiculous as denying the first. Just as I had no control over being born physically, I had no control over being born again. Both births... were miraculous gifts, given by a loving, gracious and merciful Heavenly Father. For both, I will praise and thank Him for eternity. When I was born the first time, I was created. The Bible teaches that when I was born again, I was recreated. There is no going back and no undoing what Almighty God Himself alone has done.

Now... I hope those who have not been born again will fight the temptation to argue that being born again is not a real, verifiable and bonafide occurrence. Because you haven't experienced something or are not immediately able to understand it, does not make it false, fabricated or nonexistent. It is just unknown to you. Any sincere seeker of God, will come to know its reality.

I know what I have just said is a bit unsettling to some, but it is the absolute truth, which I cannot deny... and actually greatly enjoy sharing with others.

One of the most interesting aspects of my life as a Christian is observing the sense of humor of my Heavenly Father. Slowly, yet consistently, He has and is transforming me, molding me into the very image of the Christian I once thought unreasonable and " radical". I can now say with absolute conviction that I was wrong then, and they were right. What I saw as radical was in essence their proper recognition of the truths found in the Bible that I would not accept at that time, or had been too lazy to search out. Some might take warning... I am still a work under progress...(tic)

What I want people to understand is that we, all of us, talk about and with others on subjects that mean the most to us. For some it is sports; for others it is television shows, cars, guns, boats, quilting, food... the list is nearly endless. For me it is God, His Word and the application in one's life. Yet just as others have, I also have many other interests (such as politics), pursuits and concerns, but because of being born again, all things... I repeat, all things, are examined in the light of Scripture. Some would say this is very dangerous and not compatible with the laws of our nation (with respect to politics)... referring to that so called "separation of church and state" thing. I maintain that they are as wrong as can be... and I can say so with great authority; not of myself but from those who founded our country and wrote and ratified the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

A basic principle embraced by the Founders of the United States was that no man- made law should ever contradict the Word of God. This principle and nearly universally held belief was commonly quoted and is best expressed in the writings of Sir William Blackstone in his Commentaries On The Law: Blackstone was a jurist, political philosopher, professor of law at Oxford and author. He was studied and referenced by many of the Founders. On this matter he said:

"Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being... And consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for every thing, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker's will. This will of his Maker is called the law of nature... This law of nature, being coeval with mankind and dictated by God Himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times; no human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this; and such of them as are valid derive all their force, and all their authority, mediately or immediately, from this original... The doctrines thus delivered we call the revealed or divine law and they are to be found only in the holy Scriptures. These precepts, when revealed, are found upon comparison to be really a part of the original law of nature... Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these." - (emphasis added)

This legal principle was in part the legal and moral foundation behind the American Revolution and a driving force in structuring the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. People can accept or reject this fact, but the fact cannot be changed. I fully subscribe to it.

Now, back to my individual faith.

Does my faith call me to want to force my beliefs on others? Absolutely not. (please re- read paragraph 3) Even if I wanted to, I know that belief in Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ does not come through any venue except the direct intervention in a life, by God, through His grace, mercy and love, imparting faith to believe. My faith is however, and rightly so, engaged in every thought and action I take. For centuries this was recognized as being a very good thing; men's words and actions were tempered by the counsel and wisdom found in Scripture and not given over completely to the inconsistencies and varieties of secular humanistic thought and rationalizations.

Does my faith and accompanying love for God and Scripture mean I want to tell others about God and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? Absolutely, yes. Just as you desire to tell others about what you enjoy and/or feel is important, I cannot be silent about the greatest experience a man, woman or child can have - being born again... knowing and being known by Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ... being translated from death (spiritual) to Life! Going from wandering around wondering what the meaning of life is and who I am, why I am here... to knowing the Answer and answers.

Proper religious belief cannot, under any circumstances, be forced upon anyone and no man should even try. What is unfortunate is that many see just being exposed to religious thought and action, as someone trying to force them to believe. It is most interesting that those who evidently see no problem in bombarding others with trivia and the frivolous nonessential and petty, are usually the ones most offended when conversation turns to that of substance and eternal immutable truth.

Because I have absolute confidence in my Christian faith, does that mean I have absolute confidence in my perceptions of all things? Of course, not. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Many interpret the confidence a believer has in his/her Christian faith as a "self-righteousness" attitude. Again, a Christian's faith and right standing before God is something that is done for the Christian by Almighty God and not done by the Christian for himself/herself. The righteousness a Christian possesses is solely the Righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ; therefore there is absolutely no claim to " self-righteousness". Such a claim, if made, would be of the darkest and most offensive of heresies.

Another popular misconception of a person of faith is one of a "know-it-all". I submit that this errant perception comes from observing Christians applying of the Word of God (Bible) to everyday living and circumstances. The confidence a Christian has in the judgements made in Scripture make other individuals very uncomfortable. For instance: A Christian can say with confidence that living together (in the popular use of the phrase), outside of the bonds of matrimony is a sin, therefore, under all circumstances it is wrong. Or: Homosexuality, lesbianism and "same sex marriages" are grossly perverse, deviant and inherently immoral, therefore, these sins are under all circumstances wrong. These clear Biblical judgements, and many others, make many in America today uncomfortable, and since they are not willing to accept Biblical truths, they lash out and slander the messenger(s).

If the real truth were to be known, the vast majority of the time a charge of "self- righteousness" or "know-it-all" is levied, it is done by someone possessed by bigotry and hatred of most, if not all things Holy.

A specifically guaranteed and enumerated Constitutional right is the right to freely exercise one's faith. As a good citizen of these United States of America, I choose to exercise that right - even if I choose to run for political office. If people don't like that, their quarrel is first with the Word of God, and then the U.S. Constitution.

The level of intolerance and lack of understanding in our country today regarding the Christian faith is as greatly amazing as it is tragic, especially given that every good aspect of American culture today has its roots in Biblical Christian doctrine and every bad aspect of American culture today is rooted in the rebellion against that doctrine. Further, every wrong that has been righted in the United States finds its demise in the correct application of Biblical Christian doctrine, and every wrong that is loosed or gains strength, finds its existence and survival in the rebellion to Biblical doctrine and principles.

Only in a Christian society will you find a consistent and proper reverence and respect for human life, a respect of property, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, decency, propriety, correct moral standards and a tolerance of diversity. A little acknowledged truth today is that the blessings America has had and still does to some extent enjoy today, are the results of the blessings of Almighty God, not the industry of man. Those blessings have come by His hand of favor, extended, by grace, to the faithful, and yet benefit all, even the secular part of society. For this reason it is imperative, for all, that Christians wake up and be more faithful to their calling; or those remaining blessings may altogether be removed.

Even the so called "deists" in American history recognized this principle. The man often referred to as being the least religious of the Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin, in trying to promote harmony at the Constitutional Convention, gave the following address on June 28, 1787. His comments were directed towards the President of the Convention, George Washington.

"Mr. President: The small progress we have made after four or five weeks close attendance and continual reasonings with each other-our different sentiments on almost every question, several of the last producing as many noes as ayes is, methinks, a melancholy proof of the imperfection of the human understanding. We indeed seem to feel our own want of political wisdom since we have been running about in search of it. . . .
In this situation of this Assembly, groping as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when presented to us, how has it happened, sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the Father of lights, to illuminate our understanding? In the beginning of the contest with Great Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayer in this room for the Divine protection. Our prayers, sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending Providence in our favor. To that kind Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?
I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth-that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, sir, in the Sacred Writings, that "except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel: we shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and byword down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing governments by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war, and conquest.
I therefore beg leave to move-that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service." - Benjamin Franklin

Franklin's plea was heard and complied with. Our Constitution was born. Today, the ACLU and groups like the People For The Separation Of Church And State would seek a lawsuit to have Franklin drawn and quartered for what he said, and Washington banished from the country for allowing Franklin to say it! These current "politically correct" God haters are far, far removed from historical reality and the actual relationship between the Church and State.

I fear that America today has lost sight of the principle behind Franklin's message and is totally unaware of the remainder of that verse: "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." - Psalm 127:1 Franklin and his peers understood the absolute necessity of the Lord being intimately involved in the formation and the sustaining of their Country, along with the need for them to properly acknowledge Him. We desperately need this understanding today, before it becomes too late.

If Christians abandon their individual responsibility under God to such things as political party affiliation or complacent and apathetic behavior, they are sinning against God and there will be consequences. This is not just an observation of mine or an opinion, but an important message and principle found in the Bible. The degradation and corruption of American society is evidence of those already mounting consequences, and it will only get worse unless Christians stand up to be counted.

Christians should not be lending their name and support to any of the current major political parties, period. Believers, whether they are now Democrat or Republican, are called by Scripture to shun the very appearance of evil. You cannot do that by subscribing to party politics. Both parties willingly and openly accommodate outright evil, solely for the sake of their party's success. The Democrats have become the power base for evil in America today through their open endorsement of such things as abortion, sexual deviancy (homosexuality and lesbianism) and secular humanistic philosophies. The Republicans are increasingly accepting of the same evils and will not discriminate against them because of their "Big Tent" philosophy. Both parties openly run candidates that are pro-abortion, pro-sexual deviancy and anti-God. Both should now be shunned.

Being independent and voting independently is a Scriptural calling and as American as George Washington, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, mom and apple pie. By not aligning with a political party you not only are free to vote for the best candidate, you are demonstrating another quality that has made America great - rugged individualism. Christians in America are not to be part of the group think, group speak crowd but are called to stand and be willing to fight for what is right (as defined by the Bible) - all the time. Put another way, it is time for Christians to stop singing in their congregations "Bless the Name of Jesus" unless they are willing to live in a manner worthy of those words.

Homosexuality and Lesbianism

It was not so long ago that discussions about homosexuality and lesbianism were considered impolite. I pray that, once again, that will be the case.

The most disturbing aspect of debate on this issue is the apparent unwillingness of those who know better, to stand against sexual deviancy for the right reason – it is immoral.

Contrary to the politically correct notions of this day, persons are in fact capable of morally disqualifying themselves from normal societal considerations. Practicing, open homosexuals and lesbians, like open adulterers and pedophiles, are morally disqualified from acceptance in any civilized, polite and correct thinking society.

Homosexuality is a clear abomination before Almighty God and mankind alike. It is a detestable, degenerate and depraved crime of such magnitude, no civilized society dare claim it as being "normal", except to hazard total ruination.

In America's first law book, author Zephaniah Swift sounded this warning: "This crime, tho repugnant to every sentiment of decency and delicacy, is very prevalent in corrupt and debauched countries where the low pleasures of sensuality and luxury have depraved the mind and degraded the appetite below the brutal creation."

How would Swift rate this country today?

Base, debauched, reprobate and thoroughly immoral lifestyles and practices must be opposed strenuously, consistently and courageously. That is the only right thing to do.

Domestic Enemies Abound

Your basic core character is in question if through incompetence, or unwillingness, you fail to boldly stand against the deliberate and calculated usurpation and erosion of legitimate constitutional authority and exercise.

In politics “going along, to get along” is today’s mark of a political coward, not a leader, and certainly should not enhance a politicians image. Going about the business of government, maintaining the current status quo, all the while knowing there are those who are corrupting our very system itself, and doing nothing about it... is at best, derelict incompetence, and at worst, outright treason.

It is time to identify and deal decisively with these domestic enemies, no matter where we find them.

Our failing to do so will result in our children and their children’s children suffering directly from our negligence and most probably reducing the United States of America to a Third-World status.

Sacred Responsibility To Vote

Regarding the sacred responsibility and duty of American citizens to vote, Founding Father Noah Webster said, “… let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, 'just men who will rule in the fear of God.' The preservation of [our] government depends on the faithful discharge of this Duty; if the citizens neglect their Duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the Laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizen will be violated or disregarded. If [our] government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the Divine Commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the Laws."

Welcome to present day America! Welcome to present day Arkansas! Our elected representatives, Federal and State, with nearly no exception, Republican and Democrat alike, neglect their responsibilities and oaths of office daily and habitually violate the trust placed in them by the citizens of this Country and State.

The Constitution is no longer the highest law of the land; being replaced by the whimsical fancies of 5 members of the Supreme Court and other inferior courts, along with their executive and legislative accomplices. The United States is no longer a land of law, liberty and justice; but now a land of Executive, Legislative and Judicial lawlessness, tyranny and injustice.

And who is responsible? We are, for our rulers are certainly not “just men who will rule in the fear of God” but consist entirely of the unprincipled, corrupt and/or incompetent.

And why is this…? - Because WE have placed political party allegiances over our duty to elect courageous and principled representatives “who will rule in the fear of God”.

Is the coming election going to be just more of the same…?

Censorship - Not a dirty word.

The premise supporting the idea of censorship is the (r)epublican principle that local communities, through their representatives, have the right, responsibility and authority, under the Constitution of these United States, to establish the standards of conduct (laws) of their respective communities and the right to enforce them. While there are specific areas immune to censorship, specifically those unalienable rights endowed by our Creator mentioned in the Declaration of Independence and those specifically enumerated in the Constitution, those areas do NOT, nor have they ever, legitimately included that which is lewd and lascivious, profane, obscene, libelous, immoral and/or base.

While government should not be in the business of trying to impose virtue and morality upon it's citizens, it should not be hostile to the virtuous and moral standards desired and sought by them. Encouraging and fostering virtue within the American people has from the beginning of this Republic been recognized as a legitimate role of the American government. Providing safe haven for the base elements of a community has never been recognized as a proper function of government, yet today is lauded as being the more "enlightened". The liberal and libertarian elements of the United States confuse the improper abuse of government in imposing values with the legitimate encouraging, fostering and protecting element of government of those values chosen by its citizens.

The usurpation of the Constitution, primarily by the American judiciary, has created a cancerous representation of what the government of the United States is suppose to be, and that civic/political sickness caused by the judiciary may in reality be that which kills this once great "Nation under God", America. Through judicial whim and abuse, our laws, legal precedent, form of government and the peoples will have been laid waste.

A simple exercise will confirm the above immediate statements. List the top three social issues facing the American people today. While these lists may vary slightly from person to person, as many times as I have asked this be done, 100% of those issues listed were those created by judicial misconduct and abuse - judicial activism - without exception.

The fear mongering over the issue of censorship, while understandable, is disheartening because it shows the abject deterioration of reason and the working, functioning intellect of the American people. The public school educrats, the ACLU types and big government advocates, in league with the illegitimate judiciary, have succeeded in convincing the American people that by controlling their own communities standards of decency, THEY are somehow the fascists! Politically correct thought, politically correct brainwashing, has been so effectively inculcated into the American society by these groups that specious and fabricated argument now has the same, if not more, credibility than Law, History, Precedent and Reason.

Local control of community standards has in the past been a bulwark of American civic practice and community. That apparently is no more. The most base and immoral now enjoy the protections that traditionally were afforded the virtuous, morally upright and upstanding. Those who desire a community that is not openly hostile to God with traditional morals and virtue, now apparently must aid and abet those moral reprobates who despise long standing traditional values. And why? Because if they don't, an elitist and immoral judiciary will illegally force them to do so, all the while condemning them for " forcing their morality" upon others in violation of some conjured principle they subscribe to, and have "found" hidden between the words of the Constitution.

While some agree that something must be done to restore virtue and morality to our American society, the means by which that restoration takes place is a matter of contention. Whatever the means, this restoration must be encouraged and permitted to take place within communities desiring to establish community standards of conduct and morality.

Liberals and libertarians advocate what is best described as an "isolationist" solution. Everyone retreats within their own lives (or families), exercises what they call "personal censorship", and leaves everyone else to do their own thing, to the detriment of the community as a whole. The liberals and libertarians sometimes voice concern over what is happening, but in actual practice, are unwilling to do anything of a corrective nature. In addressing what I see as the epitome of the "isolationist" solution (the " If it offends you, don't buy it" philosophy), Robert H. Bork in his book "Slouching Towards Gomorrah" (ReganBooks, HarperCollins Publishers, pg.151) makes this observation, "[If it offends you, don't buy it]-is both lulling and destructive. Whether you buy it or not, you will be greatly affected by those who do. The aesthetic and moral environment in which you and your family live will be coarsened and degraded. Economists call the effects an activity has on others 'externalities'; why so many of them (liberals and libertarians) do not understand the externalities here is a mystery." I differ with Mr. Bork on his last comment. I believe liberals and libertarians DO understand, they just don't care.

The willingness of both liberals and libertarians to not only tolerate, but in some cases defend base licentiousness, equating that licentiousness with legitimate liberty, makes them a part of the problem. One can only hope and pray that one day enough Americans will have the courage to "Just Say NO" to these things, and these people, who are destroying our once great nation.

Reasonable and circumspect censorship, based upon traditional Judeo/Christian principles, faithfully served the American society for many generations, and could again. Without enforceable action or strict adherence to voluntary censorship, the morally reprobate will continue thumbing their noses at the rest of society, laughing at their impotence and lack
of will.

America’s Culture War

There is a culture war raging in America today, for the very heart and soul of what the United States has represented from our very beginning. Being aware of all the enemies seeking the destruction of America, both external and internal, not the least of which is the expansionist and violet pursuits of Islam (through Jihad) against all non-Islamic people, a proper response is required - demanded.

My challenge to Christians is simple: Act now, boldly and courageously, not out of Party loyalty or pragmatism, but strictly from a principled Biblical perspective. This will enable America to return to its Biblical foundation and heritage and to once again secure the blessings and protection of Almighty God upon our nation and families.

If your Christian faith is not the determining factor in what (or who) you stand for and/or against - Your faith is a fraud.

Many battles are being fought in this war, on many fronts, but the one battle that will tip the balance is the current battle against Almighty God and the ability to rightly acknowledge Him and our total dependence upon Him. From our founding the United States has been recognized, and rightfully so, to be a Christian nation. As John Quincy Adams put it "The highest glory of the American Revolution was this; it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity."

James Madison, the primary author of the Constitution of the United States, said this: "We have staked the whole future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments."

Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President of the United States reaffirmed this truth when he wrote, "The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."

In 1782, the United States Congress voted this resolution: "The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools."

Many today, history revisionists, would call Mr. Adams, Mr. Madison and Mr. Coolidge liars. They are appalled by the action of the 1782 Congress and decry, condemn and disparage Congress’s endorsement of the Holy Bible. To their shame the revisionists are living examples of Proverbs 18:2 "A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in revealing his personal opinions and himself." They reveal themselves to be God hating, God mocking, anti-Christian bigots bent on removing any meaningful reference to Almighty God or the Lord Jesus Christ from within our civil government, despite that still remaining "indissoluble bond" referred to by John Quincy Adams and many other of our nation's Founders.

That bond has most recently been under attack in the State of Alabama where a display of the Ten Commandments was ordered to be removed from the State Supreme Court Building. I had hoped, and prayed that with the courageous leadership being provided by the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Judge Roy Moore in defending that proper display, that other political leaders would also step forward. To their great shame, they did not. Instead, they were exposed as the hypocritical, politically correct, get re-elected at all cost, cowardly politicians they are.

The shear magnitude of this single issue escapes the Christian multitudes.

Christian complacency, neglect and hypocrisy must stop, or our children, grandchildren and their children's children will live in a un-blessed, Godless, excrementitious shadow of what America once was.

In founding this nation "...with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence," courageous Christian men pledged to each other their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Many others throughout our history have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve for us that which was first founded. It is now our time to step forward.

Will we be faithful? Will YOU be faithful?

Is Almighty God real? Is the Bible the written Word of God? Does the Bible reveal timeless and absolute truths about mans responsibility and accountability before Almighty God? Is there an obligation to openly and freely acknowledge Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ contained in the laws of the United States? Is the obligation to obey Almighty God greater than that to obey government? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes!

I am now willing to fight for, not just talk about, these things. Are you?

Huckabee and Hutchinson Need Honest Work

People who know me know my commitment to good government founded on the Biblical Judeo/Christian principles espoused by America’s Founders.

When I saw that Mike Huckabee was endorsing Asa Hutchinson for Governor, as a past very strong supporter of both, I could not escape that inward sinking feeling associated with bad news.

Both men unfortunately exemplify how political ambition can corrupt even the best of men if they are not of unimpeachable character, ethics, integrity and honor, and firmly grounded in the principles of republicanism… not (R)epublican Party-ism.

While being masters of current day political doublespeak, party chicanery, and personal hypocrisy, neither Huckabee nor Hutchinson have shown any concern over the foundational aspects of good government or the upholding of their personal solemn oaths of office and the Constitutions they likewise have sworn to uphold, protect and defend. They, instead, have become domestic enemies of those Constitutions, repeatedly and consistently serving their political party and elective aspirations first and foremost, over their country and constituents.

Neither have shown a meaningful concern over matters of justice and have operated as though they consider themselves personally above the law, with it perfectly proper for the government to operate outside of the law.

Legitimate conservatives, and especially Christian conservatives, need to end their political party affiliations, stop settling for the lesser of two evils (which is still evil), speak the truth, and end the political careers of such as Huckabee and Hutchinson. Our State and Country will not survive if they are the best we can do.

How long do YOU intend to settle for the lesser evil?

Tax Time

Tax time is upon us. Hooray! My favorite time to celebrate being an American!... (Say what?)

Have you been brainwashed into believing, or even guilty of saying to another “I count it a privilege to pay my taxes.”…?

It is no secret that the reason we suffer under such high taxes, is that nearly all elected representatives today, and the bureaucracies they create, do not understand what good and lawful government is about. Our current political leadership, Democrats and Republicans alike, should be properly labeled as Socialists and Socialists-Lite, or in other words – the very Domestic Enemies of the Constitution they are sworn to preserve, protect and defend against. The Parties enjoy, to our Country’s destruction, the purchasing of constituent groups with money that is not theirs, and to which they are NOT entitled… at least if you are using the U.S. Constitution as your standard.

Those whose political and economic philosophies fashioned and crafted these United States need to be heard TODAY… and those idiotic enough to enjoy giving away the fruit of their labor need to PAY ATTENTION! And maybe just learn something.

Beware Party Spirit

To encourage Independent political thought in NW Arkansas, this blog is committed.

In his Farewell Address, George Washington addressed many points of political interest relevant to this day.

Washington held that the Constitution must always be held as the ultimate law of the land in preserving the union, and that the responsibility for its adherence rests squarely upon the people, for it is their Constitution. He emphasized that great zeal and diligence should be exercised in its protection and preservation and that the usurpation of rightful authority and jurisdiction would be a constant threat from the enemies of America, primarily, domestic. Changes, if needed, should be deliberative, consistent...and actually needed, not founded upon man's whim or ever changing opinions.

Washington also warned extensively of the dangers associated with political parties and other such associations. These warnings...are of such accuracy, extent and importance, one can only marvel at his insight and propheticalness.

Had I been instructed in his wisdom as a child, or more relevantly as a young adult, I would never have aligned myself with any political party. I can only encourage those interested, to read Washington's Farewell Address, slowly, deliberatively...and prayerfully, to determine your future course of action...and association or affiliation.

As an Independent I stand with no group or organization, save those who choose to freely and temporarily affiliate with me for my candidacy. I trust, and expect, that our affiliation will only be maintained so long as I represent their concerns and desires for this country better and more faithfully than another. Their and my allegiance is not, nor should it be, to a party; but to ideas, standards, values and yearnings that are held in common. If I were to depart from those things jointly held, I would expect no further support from them, and would justly deserve none. Their and my obligation is not to a party or person, but only to what is right.

Imagine if you can, races with no political party affiliation; candidates running on issues and having to stand solely on their individual merits.

While some dismiss the idea as being something akin to political anarchy, they need to be identified for who they are; Political party operatives with vested interests in the preservation of party identity and power. They are fearful and warn of massive ballots and the political platforms given to the "unqualified"...yet, does not the Constitution set the qualifications for candidates? Are the political parties the sole, or even best, guardians of our political process? Could they, and their exclusivity, be responsible for the problems we now have? Do they not trust the American people to be able to weed out the crazies? With proper education, and the free press we enjoy in America, the public will make short work of the crackpots, thereby allowing the political cream to rise to the top - which is the real fear of our current political parties.

Please note that I make my comments fully aware of the political realities of today, and the resistance from most to these ideas... But have you read Washington? You will find our current political troubles identified, defined and with solutions provided...by someone intimately acquainted with how our government is actually supposed to be run.

Loose associations, for limited time and scope will always occur, and rightfully so; but the continued allegiance afforded someone with a particular "brand" should not be a part of our political system.

Washington also rightly held that religion, most specifically Christianity, along with its accompanying morality, were indispensable supports of the political prosperity of a country. He even went so far as to say "In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens."

I fully concur and would expand only by adding these words of John Adams - "Religion and virtue are the only foundations...of republicanism and of all free governments." - "The idea of [religious] infidelity cannot be treated with too much resentment or too much horror. The man who can think of it with patience is a traitor in his heart and ought to be execrated (detested) as one who adds the deepest hypocrisy to the blackest treason." - "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Now, does this mean I am calling those who would eliminate prayer and the Ten Commandments from the civic process and public display, along with those who oppose prayer and Bible classes in public schools, unpatriotic traitors? Yes! - and I am in good company.
